This means that we scour the research to provide the best modern, conventional, and traditional solutions for the problems our patients face. This way, the patient can decide which approaches resonate with them. At this practice, we want to not only fix issues, but also prevent them thereby promoting future health.

At our practice, we commonly encounter patients who come to us already stabilized and seeking to delve deeper into their mental health while also optimizing their general health. Others consult us to explore alternatives after long term medication use or are looking to solve issues that their current practitioner may have not addressed as of yet. We have more time to listen and we are looking at issues in novel ways. This, along with patient commitment, motivation, sincerity, time, and resources greatly influence progress.
This contributes to our higher success rate in solving problems.

No, we are a bespoke psychiatric practice without the large administrative team needed to be able to adequately manage insurance claims. In addition, we do not participate in Medicare or Medicaid. We do this to increase the time we can spend on patient care. We also do this so that our care is less influenced by the insurance company. This also means that YOU are in control of your care– not the insurance company.
That being said, we do want to bring patients’ attention to apps like Reimbusify that can make care more affordable. This particular app allows you to easily submit claims for out-of-network health insurance reimbursement . We encourage patients to partake in all mediums that make care more accessible and to check with their insurance up front if this is a concern.

Our office provides refills and renews prescriptions only during appointments. This practice reduces prescription errors, improves patient safety and encourages appropriate follow-up. Patients will always receive enough medication or refills to last until their next recommended follow-up. Medications must be monitored appropriately.
Patients are asked to track their supply, and to ensure they have an appointment scheduled before they run out of medication or run out of existing refills. Please be proactive in your care and track how much medication you have and how many refills remain on the prescription, and ensure you have an appointment to see the doctor before you are out of medication. Prescription refill requests outside a designated treatment plan, if approved by the provider, will elicit a refill request fee.
In addition, when prescriptions are requested outside of an appointment, they must be done through the patient portal (hyperlink). We receive many automatic requests for prescription refills from pharmacies that are not accurate. Therefore, to reduce redundancies we consider only requests made through the portal as valid.

Patients are able to cancel for any reason 48 hours prior to their appointment. You may leave us a message through the patient portal. Full visit charges will apply for notice given less than 48 hours before the assigned appointment time as we do not double book and hold that time slot exclusively for the patient.
